My garden is about 1,000 square feet of planted area. And I have very few weeds. My friends are the scuffle hoe, the Rogue Hoe and a Warren Hoe (Pointed hoe.) I use one of them every day except Saturday on all the bare spots in the garden and up close to the plants. I don't work in the garden on Saturday. The Scuffle Hoe gets weeds before they sprout. The Rogue hoe is better when the soil is moister and it cuts any weeds off below the surface. The Warren hoe is something I use just once in awhile when the soil is too moist for the other hoes. It takes maybe 10 minutes a day to do the entire garden. Weeds seldom get a chance to grow up except among the tall, crowded plants like beans. Every so often, I pull the ones that poke out the top, but there aren't many of them. Be careful about hoeing the day after it rains as that can compact the soil. Well, I think that happens to everyone pretty much, unless they're retired or something. I know that this summer, I've neglected my garden a LOT compared to last year, because I've been doing major home improvement projects that I neglected for a couple of years to do my garden. You just take the good with the bad, and realize that NEXT YEAR will come fast. Six months ago, it was snowing here and I was just starting to sow peppers, etc., indoors under lights. It practically seems like yesterday. Now, those things are bearing, frost will be here soon, then the holidays, then it will be time to start again. The cycle of the seasons. Most species of berries don't self-sow all that much from what I've found. Black raspberries, mulberries, and shadberries can be bad. The rest not so much.

It was off for 6 to 7 min and came back in time for commercials. Grrrrr We missed the first tribal council, but it has been back since that. It must be our cable!

My contractor installed our Konos and had absolutely no trouble. I'm sorry you're having trouble; he didn't complain to me about any problems (and believe me, he complained about a couple of other things). Could there be a part missing? KWC does have customer service by phone - why don't you call them?
