I have a few :>) Doritis champornensis and it branches too. Phal. florensis Ooops, no pic. Phal. #568 and the bloom. Phal. fasciata has three spikes and one is branched. Phal. Freida Shapira 'Peter Lin #4' One spike blooming now, oldest spike growing and branching and a new spike. Phal. (Pumpkin Patch x John's Gold) Two spikes from last year buds are swelling and this year's spike is blooming. Phal. Hilltop's Jewel Four spikes total, one blooming now but three other spikes have buds swelling, plus a basal keiki. Phal. Penang Girl 'Ching Ruey' This has not bloomed for me yet but I just found a third spike on the original growth, the other two spikes are on a basal keiki. And the last one is Dtps. Sogo Manager 'Kuo' I purchased this from my grocery last summer, it was my first yellow. I intended to mount it when the g/h was finished but it wouldn't quit blooming plus popped a basal keiki. Not deterred, I mounted it anyway and it never missed a beat. I have four new spikes with buds almost ready to open on two of them plus the original two spikes have branched where I cut them back. I will get a picture of the mount blooming later this spring. It should be gorgeous. Brooke

Thank you again. Okay, so I'm pretty convinced that I want to move my CM and I'm really excited about the prospect of the sprouts!! I'd move it just for that reason, even if it wasn't having problems LOL. In terms of my shrubs, the more I look at pictures of Holly and Osmanthus, the more I know I have no idea what I have. In your opinions, which shrub is more common? Osmanthus or let's call it a Blue Prince for now, holly? Which would have been cheaper? The reason I ask, is that I think when I look around my landscape, I know that the previous owners would have gone with the most commonly available shrub and since it was a new house and they would have needed quite a few plants, they probably would have purchased the cheaper shrub. I don't know a lot about Osmanthus, but I know I see the blue prince holly in Lowes and Home Depot every time I go, that's why I keep leaning to them. Lastly, I don't believe I've ever smelled any type of fragrance from the shrubs. They are right next to my garage door and all along the walkway to my front door, so I think I would have smelled something right???

Thanks Lisanti and Denninmi! Nice, another nightshade :) I remember seeing the purple flowers one before but this is new. So it is mulberry. Hmm, I don't even remember seeing any mulberry trees around here. If I think of the same tree - short with dark and white berries which kind of resembles elongated raspberries and dark ones leave stains :) I kinda like the fruits. I don't know about the root, this particular one is in the neighbors yard. All these weeds pics are from their yard (not that I am free of them, but theirs are bigger ;)) That's another problem, how to tell them. They are new neighbors and I used to help the previous neighbors with weeding sometimes. Then the left side neighbors have a field of creeping charlies and all those weeds want to get into my yard! :)) Anyway, thanks again, people are very helpful here! I have another weedy ground cover which we are trying to id for years, I go to nurseries every year and look at all their ground covers because that's where my husband bought it, no luck so far. I'll take a pic and try here ;)

I'll leave the swap OPEN to new members, plus our OLD members until the morning. Kind of a 'who' joins in first. I tried to give the original members some time to join, before I opened it up...... SO IT'S NOW OPEN TO anyone that has done several swaps. Then- if we don't get any more to join in. I'll just let this go for April and re-start it in May with a new post. I know it's a busy time.. but this is the time we can SHARE bulbs, divide iris, etc. We couldn't do this in the bitter cold weather. So, now's the time to send plant stuff- gardening stuff.
