No, but I have also noticed they are not much of a problem. They do chew small holes but there are not many of them most of the time to do a lot of damage. I am currently having a problem with cucumber beetles. They ruined much of my squash and cukes last year, and this year I see a few, but not as many. They are on my ground cherry plants. I actually had to break down and apply some sevin dust..(ugh, shuttering at the though)..but nothing else seems to work. I have tried Neem oil and that does not work well.

This is a global pest, one of the species of grain beetles. They infest stored grains, seeds, flour, etc., all over the world. You should see the little larvae in your seed collection....they are what feed on the seeds. Commercially, seed warehouses are treated with horticultural or food grade diatomaceous earth (DE). Non food seeds will be chemically treated in storage. Consumers can bring flours, pasta, bird seed, etc., home and store them in the freezer or fridge (after a freezer treatment). Can't recommend that with viable seed. DE is the way to go when you collect and store seeds in the future. Food/horticultural grade DE is edible, by the way, and can be used to protect coriander seeds even if you use them as a personal culinary spice.

I tried to take a closer shot, but cannot get enough focus. the biggest ones are approx. 1/4", they are black with a yellowish outline around its belly, and horn like hairs all over its body, they seem to attach themselves by their rear end. I see them all over the leaves but they also attach themselves around the nodes of the branches in numbers of 10-15. All my leaves have spotts on the, and I have lady bugs all over the bamboo. I presume that they are eating all the eggs that have be layed. Thanks
