Hi Dusty, In addition to the other book I posted here, I also have Rock Gardens & Alpine Plants by David Joyce, 1985. It only cost $6.95 but it is a good book nonetheless. It takes you from the construction of a rock garden, to selection of plants, propagation of plants, to how to deal with pests and upkeep of the garden (winterizing, etc.) The reason I bought the book though was because of all the lovely pictures (many) of plants I can never hope to grow in Zone9. Even so, I have a few hens and chicks melting in my back yard at this moment. We not only have extreme heat but we also have extreme humidity! Incidently, I would like to thank you for posting the info about blocked email addresses on your member page. I have been trying to figure out what to do about it and have been searching all over info at the My Yahoo mail site. Now I know I need to change some options on my member page at Gardenweb. THANKS! I always wonder how they can get themselves in so deep, that they can't see it coming and try to stop themselves. I know it's easy to get used to something, so that you don't even see it anymore. Like that laundry basket that's sitting in the corner (with Roxie sleeping in it). My empty flower pots that are behind the chair next to the window. Pens, Marie? I LOVE pens! and paper....

I know this will be a shock to many but...all worthwhile information is not housed on the internet, or digitally, or electronically. Yes, there is actually information in those dusty old tomes that can't be found by googling. Not yet. Not for some time. It's a bit too soon to be throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Flat-screen TVs? How appalling that taxpayer dollars are going to pay for such foolish things. (I just moved from a community where my tax dollars were spent on a glass-walled cafeteria and a marble fountain in the name of education. Guess the flat-screen TVs are a step up.) Well, I'm preaching to the choir here. I think electronic books and information are great for things that change frequently, or are actually dangerous to carry around - I would love to see the end of the 50 lb. kid carrying the 45 lb. backpack. But this is just ridiculous.

The upward movement has been despite of his being in office, not because of. If news came out that Trump was leaving office, all would most certainly spike up significantly. The CEO resignations from his various councils, which were accelerating BEFORE the weekend PR debacles and resulted in their unwinding BEFORE Trump said anything to them or to the public, are evidence enough concerning what Wall Street and the business community think of him . Like the growing list of Republican politicians who have similarly spoken out publicly, they find his erratic and unpredictable behavior destabilizing and of great concern.
