Well this one is a C-section, so I get to stay in the hospital for alittle longer than 5 minutes. Maybe I'll get part of the introduction done. New babies may sleep alot but their 4 yr old brother and 2 yr old sister doesn't anymore...:(((. Did you know that Children's Tylenol Cold & cough has the same stuff in it that NyQuil does, just lower doses! And yes, this little human is another girl, her name is Teagan. Poor brother and Dad will soon be outnumbered. And I will hopefully have another orchid accomplice,since my girl Campbell already shows great interest in the orchids! My husband says "every good shopper needs and accomplice". Maybe I'll have two!

Hi TH, The way most of us do this is to feel the pot's weight. If it's got a little heft, you're fine. If it feels light as a feather, it likely needs water. You can set the little pots in warmish (at least room temperature) water and let them soak up as much as they need-but no longer than 15 minutes or so. If they don't seem to soak any up, check under the bottoms of the little cups and ensure the hole is completely pierced through. Once you've watered them once, you'll feel the difference in the weight. There's no set schedule for watering-that comes with time and understanding of your own environment and potting mix. After a couple weeks, you'll have a better feel for how often they'll need watering! And, FYI, I have read that re-potting them often (even as often as every two weeks) when they're babies will speed up growth. I have found that to be true, but haven't conducted any true experiments per se! You can keep them in the same pot size-just adding fresh soil seems to really spark their growth. Hope they stay safe and fledge successfully for you. It is such a worrisome time. My four babies are on day 10 right now. I check them daily just to look for anything off and to see if I can see any blowflies, lost two babies last year due to them. Donna

ZPretty Paph. My paphs are being very slow to send spikes . Have you checked your Little Star closely? I have two plants one that just opened one spkike with more to follow and a younger plant that h four or more spikes just starting.
