Sad year for Nesting

I only had 2 nestings and the first 4 babies survived, the second only one baby which I took to a bird rescuer she called me when she was ready to be set free and I brought her back and set her free with the mom, dad and the 4 babies from the first nest....mom & dad never rebuilt from June to now they would fly into the house and sit up on it but they must of made another nest somewhere close by. The babies have been coming the last several evenings and bathing on the patio in the bird bath I have out, haven't seen the parents for a couple of wks though. This was the first time in 9yrs that I didn't have 3 to 4 nestings, Last year had 15 baby blues survive and this year only 5 out of 10 survived, I hope next year will be better.

I feel for you. I normally have three nestings with 15 total successful fledges. For some reason, last year they laid a lot of eggs that never hatched. I was hoping for a better season this year, and they have successfully fledged 14 young from three clutches. Hopefully nest season will be better for you too.

With the arrival of internet and the ever so growing competition the trend of interior decoration is on a high trend. Abstract art is on a high demand for the cause. Gone are those days when canvas arts were very expensive.

Absolutely perfectly normal if you divided them. In another couple of weeks, the foliage will be all yellow and you can remove it. They'll be just fine. They look sad now, and might not bloom well next year (or, they could), but in the future they'll be happy. They need to be divided when they get too thick.

Oh I just so appreciate both of you who shared your thoughts! I did repot it at some point but I will take the suggestion of cutting it back and downsizing in the pot department, plus give it the perlite, etc. and just see what happens. It's not that I'm deeply attached to the plant, but I do want to respect its will to live if it indeed still has one!! Thank you both again very much!!

In my opinion,your climate is too hot for fign in pot. Plant in ground in a spot with Shade in the afternoon,and sun in the morning. If you do not have,backyard to plant in,then. Plant pot in pot!. A 6 gallon ,in a 8 gallon as an example. In between,you can place,the light popcorn used in shipping. Make sure the outside pot is white ,if not paint it. I would also get more reliable fruiting cultivars like Adriatic JH,and Malta black,because what you got might need pollination,to keep fruits.

Thank you, each, for your kindness. I debated about posting it here, but I really wanted to honor my grandmother. It's a way to share her with a wider audience. She was just an "ordinary", everyday person, yet was very special and loved.
