There's no bedroom downstairs, so the only way I could sleep in the same room as the dogs is if I slept on the couch. I'm reluctant to do that--although sleeping on the couch might not be much worse than the way things have been going lately. As I write this, it's 11:00 p.m. and both dogs are panting. Wolfy is clingy, nosing my arm and attempting to get under my desk. (He doesn't fit.) It's possible that these behaviors of his have something to do with the fact that I'm out of the house seven hours a day (minimum) now. Before I started this job in December, I was home with the dogs a lot more. Wolfy is quiet and seemingly content in the morning and early afternoon before I go to work, but when I come home at night his restlessness starts. Jodi, I've wondered about the sundowning phenomenon, too. Uxorial, I just noticed your message--sorry! I did remove the bone meal. Actually, I threw it out because Wolfy had bent up the box so badly. Sarah, it's nice to know someone else is putting up with very difficult behaviors from a much-loved dog. I caught some flak on the Pet Forum last year (just from one or two people, not everyone) because I tolerate a higher degree of ....well, mess from my two elderly dogs than was deemed civilized. I'm the first to admit that gracious living flew out the window when my dogs got old and often incontinent. But I refuse to destroy these loving and loyal animals to restore my standard of living. If the time comes for that decision to be made, it will be for their comfort, not mine. Thanks, all.

Uggghhh - we're still waiting. DH was just talking about how he thinks they are intentionally holding back those already in the system and hiring all the new hires first off the street. He was selected in Nov, confirmed in the scheduling office in Dec and he hasn't got the call yet. Someone who was sent to scheduling in May received the call yesterday. Something stinks. He has been offered the job, no problem there and they can't rescind it, it's just waiting for the call. It's so frustrating. What I'd do for some joul myung or tak tori tung right now! ;) But no kimbop. Couldn't get my tastebuds to enjoy that (or bo shing tung). ;) Oh and sam gae tung - best cold diffuser on the planet! Are you in the TC's? Gotta tell me some good Korean restaurants. There's one here and the Ajumma knows us. She nearly dropped her tray the first time we went in and said, "Ahn yo hay say yo Ajumma" After she got over the shock of Wayguks speaking Korean, we asked, "Oy Kimchi iss say yo?" Unfortunately, she said "opp say yo!" lol I had many chusoks in a traditional Korean home where Ajumma, who didn't speak english, always asked me through her daughter when I was going to get married. LOL

Cat - I don't think the judge would have really listened to both sides if the claims BM made did not seem so outrageous and DH and I had not been collecting all of the information we did. BM in this case really took it way to far with the false allegations.... she claimed DH's entire family and myself and daughter were all against and abusing SD..... Of course the worse things were pointed against myself. But we had tons of things to counter as well..... pictures, dvd's of family events and vacations we took SD on, and the other things BM left as a paper trail.... letters from the school, daycares and doctor. It was extremely stressful to have to go through a BM trying to take away joint custody from my DH simply because he got married and to see all the lies and allegations.... BUT like the judge said - because DH got on that stand and said he did not want to take custody away from BM - he just wanted to have a peaceful relationship with his daughter and was willing to give BM another shot at trying to be mature - the judge as she put it is giving BM "custody probabtion" and hopefully BM will take her words to heart. We have been so much more peaceful at our home - and just to see SD be more peaceful when we pick her up or when she comes - lets us know that maybe the alienation for now has ceased. I just am hoping the situation remains peaceful for now - and this story may help someone else out in some kind of way.

Like rhizo, I see robins every day. And not when I am lookin' in the mirror ;) There was one that would follow me around the yard when I was weeding and watering the garden. Then, the garden got a lot more carefree and he'd come out just because I was there. I see those every day along with sparrows, Carolina chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, and mockingbirds.
