Beetles in Georgia

Okay, I am usually a lurker, as I have learned so much from my fellow friends on this forum.

I think I have a new mommy this year. She laid, and successfully fledged 4 babies last month. Now they have re-built and are going for the second round. I They, again have 4 eggs instead of the former 5 eggs. Anyhow, when I cleaned out the last nest I found about 6 hard shell black beetles on the bottom of the nest still alive. I thought the Blues would eat most insects...

Can anyone advise me as to what this might be? I cleaned and re-soaped the box. Just curious as to might attract the little beetles. I have never seen that before in any of my nestings!

Thanks for your advice!

Rebecca
