How Sharon Sorenson created a wildlife haven and became the Bird Lady of Southern Indiana
Full StoryI'm so excited! You wouldn't believe the birds I've had around here lately in central Indiana. Today I saw a scarlet tanager, an indigo bunting, and a Magnolia warbler, a Baltimore oriole......just to name a few.
For about a week now, I've been hearing something high in the treetops, but could never see it. Its song is an ascending chip or buzz, and I thought it was a prairie warbler. But today, I was patient, and got a pic of it. Its not the greatest pic, but I think it shows enough to guess that its a Northern Parula. (Yellow beak, orange chest with black above it. What do you think?
