MAGTAG Tomato Fest in 2 weeks
Tomato folk,
For those living around Baltimore MD and beyond, our 3rd annual Tomatofest is going on at a pavilion in Baltimore in 2 weeks on Saturday August 16th.
Last year we had 36 people and 80 tomato varieties. We spent most of the time tasting the tomatoes and grilling and eating food. Then we judged the tomatoes for best tasting, bigest ect. My daughters made some awards for the winners :-)
We have an offical homebrew for the event. This year its a Belgian Wit beer. Things get started at about 10-11AM and folks start leaving 2:30PM to 4PM. Some folks come early and other late but if you want your tomatoes to be tasted for the competition do not come to late.
Lots of folks bring tomato dishes to try and seeds to swap.
