Try dog hair around your plants. I personally don't have much of a problem c chipmunks eating, just digging. Rabbits do all the munching here (Caterpillars too :) ). Maybe you have some insect pests, such as some nocturnal moth cats or grasshoppers/katydids. Try staying up late and catching your midnight snacker in the act. You can also check under your mulch for moth cats or other pests. What kind of fencing do you have? Baby bunnies can fit thru the darnedest little holes! I suggest wire hardware cloth. It's nasty to work with (careful, it scratches), but it'll keep everything out. Sink it into the soil about 6" or so, cause bunnies can breach a fence easily by just going under it. John

In this case, they need to be soaked before cooking, and may be cooked with rice, or boiled with onions, thyme,tomatoes and garlic, and served as a side-dish. In this way, you will also have saved seeds for sowing more plants, preserving the memory of your husband whom I am sure you miss very much. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Cat Deterrents for your Garden: Keep in mind that each cat is different (like people), what works for one may not necessarily work for another. Lukki, I'm sure bugs will still get inside our home, but it should slow them down from getting in through the screened porch when the door is open since it covers up the spaces between the deck boards. Not many were getting in, but whenever the door was open at night, we'd notice more bugs inside the house. Yep, I was in Cali visiting our daughter and her family. We hadn't seen them in over a year and our darling granddaughter was a blast. She's so funny. I have traveled more in the last three years than I had in the whole thirty plus years of my marriage before hubby started to travel for a living. Though I enjoy it, it's also very tiring. I'm just starting to feel like I have myself again. Cyn, that's not a bad idea. I might have to do that as we install our baseboard throughout the house.
