You can make your own infusoria by steeping a lettuce leaf in half a quart jar of pond water, for about two weeks. Good for feeding fish fry and tadpoles. Just sit the jar in a brightly lit area and watch for the water changing, you should see little clouds of fine looking dust in the water. That should start to show in about a week. Leave it about another week or until you see a green tinge in the water and it should then be ready to feed to your fry. Feed them just a small amount, as the infusoria can turn the aquarium water green if too much is added at a time. "Horton"

I'm glad to hear it. The seeds I sent are a Rahabana cross, Rahabana being the pod parent. Most of the blooms were pollinated with doubles but some might have been open pollinated. The tags got washed away. I usually get flowers the second season from seed but have had some take longer. Brenda gets blooms the first season and I assume those that live in warm climates might as well. Good luck.

It wasn't unusual for me to trot out to the greenhouse a dozen times aday after that first one poked it's little pointy head out of the soil, to check to see if anymore were growing. I was so smitten that a few times I used the flashlight to check on a few of the better seeds that I had bought. When we would have unusually cold nights, I would huddle my babies around a heat lamp and send up some prayers for them to survive the cold night. Did anyone say "Addictive"???
