eggs out of nestcup

One of my boxes has a bluebird nest that was built last week (and the week before) while I was out of town. When I returned home on Tuesday, I saw that there was a complete nest and four eggs in the nestcup. I did not check again until today. I found that all four eggs are now pushed out of the nestcup and are on the rim of the nest.

Why would the birds have done this and should I do anything about it?

Thanks for the help.
