It's nice to see the sunshine!!!lol! Living here on the Wet Coast! Lol! I want to incorporate more Rocks to my landscape....Lovely display!

After trying to pay attention I am seeing birds with different color beaks but haven't paid attention to the tails so that will be my next thing to look after. I am believing that there are different types of birds around here now as there are some that have dark beaks and some with light, don't know about my fish thief though as I havne't seen it happen again. I have realized some have yellow eyes and some black but did not pay attention to beak color, again, at the same time as the eyes. I need to be more observant. There are also some that land on my feeder and eat and some that forage the ground and some that walk like pigeons with the bobbing head. I'm trying to pay more attention when I have spare times to sit and watch and tell the difference between the different types I'm seeing and their behaviors so maybe I can figure this out and learn more about what is in my yard. My first instinct was the martin because of the colonies and I always see them flying, as described (When I first moved here I thought they were some kind of hawk babies because of their flight). Now I'm realizing that there are more than one type of birds that I'm seeing.

Marge, Since getting the feedback on the seedling, I looked up hose to hose double and found some real beauties!! I had never heard of them before. Geeze. I really enjoy the chat on this forum, so much knowledge here and so many gorgeous flowers! I am curious, can someone explain to me the difference in a "hose to hose double" and a "bearded" lily, like Michaels Sword? Sheila

My wife, over 10 years ago, came down with breast cancer. She ahd a mascectomy of one breast, and over 13 lymph nodes removed in her arm pit. I tell you this to say there is life after breast cancer. She is alive to day and cancer free. As it turns out, one year later, the procedure changed and she could have kept her lymph nodes. The exam of these nodes showed they were clean. But at the time of her sugery, that was the standard procedure for her case type. The removal of these nodes left her with a lifetime restriction. Soemtimes, lympth fluid builds up and it takes a massage to move it. Its no heavy lifting with that arm. But she is still alive and well and accepts her restirctions as a part of life. She very happy to be cancer free, Since that time, she has joined a cancer support group of ladies who meet once a week to comfort each other. They have a sandwich and coffee at a local resturant and discuss how to fix the economy, and tell jokes, among other things.
