How Lucky!!! What a great photo too. Really great! I get one every couple three years and like at your house he only stays for a couple days. I don't think he'll show this year because he was here last year.

Say, what's in the feeder? How did you attract him?

He loves BOSS and shelled peanuts. Never saw him go to suet cakes! This last trip he took a very great interest in the thistle feeders, never attempted to eat from them but just seemed very curious. This year he would even eat and talk to us while we were outside. I guess he's getting used to us!

I love that! I've never seen one. It's very interesting you've observed it for 5 years when it only sticks around for 3 days at a time. Great observation to share.

Cool. I remember seeing one which made its home in an old, rotted tree -- he'd stick his little head out of the hole, then go back in, then peek out again. So great! Thanks for sharing.
