HOSP nest and eggs

We have nesting BBs and TRES in paired boxes with spookers. A pair of HOSP arrived in our yard a couple of weeks ago, and we were not successful in dispatching with the male, as he was just too wily.

We put up another box near our barn and set up the in-box trap, but he would not go in when trap was set, and we could not get him with the BB gun.

Now we discover they have a nest in that box with eggs, and my question is, what is the best way to keep these eggs from hatching without causing the male HOSP to seek his revenge?

Thanks for any advice.
