Hmmmm...I like cats...but my dogs don't :o) Which is okay with me...since I prefer to cater to the local hummies anyway. A neighbor has a bunch of cats and on occasion I find one or two camped out on my front lawn. I don't put out any hummie feeders there but I do have lots of bird houses hanging from the trees in that area which are filled with nesting sparrows (birds I can do without...but oh well, I consider them nature's cat food). I've seen lots of hummies fly way down to about six inches off the ground - mainly when they are doing that fan dance or that battle of the beaks...but thanks to the trees and front flower beds they prefer to do that in my back yard - lots of open lush lawn there...and no cats because of the back yard doggy door!!! ~ Cat

That is a great idea! I have a sprinkler system for my lawn that I set to go off at 2:00 in the morning so I don't normally run a sprinkler during the day time. However, on rare occasions I've turned the dial on my waterhose gun to a gentle shower and hung it from a tree for the birds to play in when I am home early. I've gotten a few photos of a hummie bathing before...but have been working until 8pm the past couple of weeks so haven't had the chance to give the birds a treat again. I have no problem with pepper and their sexual thing-being both male and female at the same time... When did I say anything about Pollination,or the process there of? Though I do get told every once in a while to go pollinate myself,which being a human,not a pepper , is impossible without surgical procedures-if even them...I don't really know... It wasn't the sex part of peppers I was talking about. It was breeding plants to have giant,gold speckled or purple and white buds. Seems some one else got a woody when pollen or pollination wasn't mentioned...except in their own mind... :) Check out some of the pics of wild and C.Baccatum or C.Pubescens buds on the net. Simply magnificent in colour and form. Plus most put out great tasting pods. A lot of the different Pepper buds put a nicer looking bud/flower than lot of the common weed/flower varieties (roses,2lips etc.) of plants grown for flower looks. I wasn't in any way referring to The size of the ship and or the motion of the ocean. LOL
