It's almost surreal that those little things are birds, much less chickadees. They started gaping very quickly and seem to be able to process the food the parent is shoving in the mouth.

Is the mother still rotating the four remaining eggs? And do you think they'll hatch?

Last I looked today May 20th there was one egg left to hatch. She was already permanently sitting on the nest for the night so I could not tell if the remaining one hatched. Some of the babies were using the remaining egg as a pillow to keep their heads up.

What a cool video; I've never seen anything like it before, where the chickadee ate the eggshell. Thanks for posting.
