Here is Bet's page for bluebird's Nesting Timetable. There are pictures too, so you can guess the age of nestlings if you don't know when they hatched.
Keep notes for yourself on a calendar so that you can better predict events and prevent problems. If you are anything like me, you will forget which day what happened. A little calendar with notes is invaluable. In future nestings, even future years, you can refer back to your notes. Different areas of the country will have very different dates; down south, they might raise 4 broods per season if all goes well, whereas up north, maybe only 2.

Debbie...two of my babies from the first brood fledged on day 17 and the other three, on day 18 (early morning) I was lucky enough to see the first two make it out into their brand new world...

The second group of siblings should fledge today or tomorrow..this time, I don't know the exact day the eggs hatched, but I'm fairly certain today is day 16 or 17.

I have kept a journal..in fact, I've used it to document my other nesters, and for hummers as well, and know it will be useful in the future.

I have four eggs and she is sitting now, so I am afraid to move her box, she flys away every time I walk out the door.
Her last egg was yesterday.
I am keeping all this on a calendar.
Crossing my finger that all will be ok this time.
I caught my first HOSP this morning in the repeating trap, put food and water in there and hoping I catch a bunch more!

Do we have a spooker on that box?
