mallard duck nesting (minnesota)

i have a female duck that is nesting beneath an evergreen bush in my front yard. it is close to the house under the overhang. i noticed her there this morning. much later in the day after work i noticed she wasnt there so i approached the nest and without touching any of it with my hand i could see the eggs. they were covered up but i know there is at least 8 or 9 eggs there. she hasnt come back to the nest since about 5pm central time and it is now about 9pm and she still hasnt returned. will she come back to it and if not what can i do with the eggs? any help would be appreciated!! also, do i need to provide her with any food or water?
