Maybe they're ready for another try?

Even a 4th year bluebirder questions what he/she sees.

Those of you who have followed my stories know that almost a week ago, last saturday, I lost a whole brood of 5 BBs.

I set a 2nd box up after swallows took interest in the bluebird's old box.

Well In the last two days there has been some activity. I went by one morning seeing TRES mating nearby and the male EABL sitting atop the the 2nd box.

Today in the afternoon I came out and again was MR. bluebird perched on the original box.

So...anyone think they're gonna start again soon? I even think this male has been keeping the swallows at bay. I saw them but there's nothing in either box.

I sure hope they aren't nesting elsewhere! It's such a thrill to see the new bluebirds and hear them calling in the trees! Wow...I typed that much?!
