Looks like Geum foliage. I don't know what Geums would be native in your area. Maybe G canadense??

Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm but I'm afraid you've picked one of the hardest subjects for your first cutting experiment. Rhododendrons are not easy to do. Layering is a more reliable method. According to NOAA, we only got .02" of rain overnight, but lots of strong winds, thunder, and lightening. It's looking like the end of the road for this year's garden. Predicted low of 33 over the weekend. The melons are pretty much gone now, and I gave up on the cucumbers a while ago, they're now the size of watermelons, and I don't have a clue what to do with them, other than throw them away. I've been gradually harvesting winter squash and pumpkins this week, and picked the last of the zucchini, but there are still quite a few peppers, and tomatillos, and tons of green tomatoes out there. Looks like tomorrow will be busy! Sometime between taking kids to and from school, doing the grocery shopping, and going to my son's soccer game, everything worth salvaging will have to get picked. Seems only natural for gardeners to lament about the weather, unless they are living in paradise ... Bonnie

Not knowing your climate, it is difficult to know what to suggest. Which area of Brazil are you in? Salvia patens comes from cloudy and misty high elevations, likes moisture, and objects to intense heat and sun. Even in England it does not like too much intense sun, not that we have that much!
