Thanks Donna and Ken....i had made up my mind that i wasn't gonna budge from my swing this morning...i've been watching them for the past few days because i knew fledging time was getting very close...then when i saw the parents constantly flying to the nest then flying just a short distance away and singing their hearts out i knew it was time.....no no no...i wasnt going anywhere...lol...i can hear them up in the oak trees and sometimes can see them.....this is soooooo cool !!!....their house is all clean now but isnt it a bit late for another nesting?...i'll be watching closely...thanks again !!!

Congrats! Fledging and 1st flights are the best part of bluebirding! I also recently had 4 fledge. Love hearing all the success this month! Hopefully this other pair I have with the batch of 3 eggs will actually hatch! Her other clutch went bad as confirmed by candling and me dissecting the eggs and finding embryos. -Tim-

Ohsoblue I will be pleasantly surprised if we get another nesting, but it could be in one of the neighbors yards, as they have all put up boxes, but I do not think they monitor very well. If they do come to our yard, I hope they choose the other box, as we have a camera in it. Mine are still coming back for meal worms, but the worms are just about gone and I doubt I will order more, unless I see a nest being built. It has been fun.
