Bully Birds Scaring Blues

HELP!!!

My first clutch of eggs this season didn't survive the cold. Now there's a second clutch of 5 eggs but I'm afraid they aren't going to make it either. The problem this time is that the BlueJays, Robins and Mockingbirds are being complete bullies. There's no way I can feed the BBs. And now one of the mockingbirds is chasing the Blues away from the nestbox if they come out.

I just watched while Daddy Blue (Brad) tried to bring food to Mom (Angie) twice and was chased off by a mockingbird. I have NO birdfood in the backyard. All the food is in the front yard. They are bullies up there as well.

Is there anything that will keep these bigger birds from eating mealworms I feed the blues to help them along. They are very timid for obvious reasons and I don't think they'll go in one of the special feeders.

Between my neighbors cat who insists on living in my yard no matter how many times I've complained, squirted him with water, etc. and these big birds I don't think the BBs will come back. Especially if these babies don't make it (they are due to hatch any time now).

I am so frustrated, and besides I'm disabled and can't keep going up and down the stairs trying to stop the harassment.

Thanks in advance
