I forgot about red-spotted purples! They're B&B, but with no tails - when swallowtails age, the first things to go are the tails, so just because a B&B butterfly doesn't have tails doesn't mean it's a RSP. Red-spotted purples have reddish orange spots on their undersides. MissSherry

it's likely temperature or nutrient/fertilizer related.. the plant may also abort them if it already has several fruits established. I like think of it as the plant having a finite carrying capacity for reproduction.. if it's already carrying several fruit that load capability can be maxed out depending on the plant's environmental conditions. Likewise, if the environment changes radically (the temperatures shoot up or down, or nutrient levels drop) then the carrying capacity is reduced and it is forced to abort to maintain the core system. I have no idea if that's accurate but being an engineer it helps me wrap my brain around it.

Renee, I've been using infrared nest cams since 2004. Are you recording the video as it comes in??? If you are and want to edit the clips, I use windows Movie Maker which is free and good enough. BTW, while they are building their nest, you'll see the female bringing nesting material IN and see if the male comes in and takes 'stuff' OUT. I currently have a nest building pair who have had me in stitches with their antics..they're not making much progress for some days the male takes out as much as the female puts IN! If you see that and can record it, let me know. I'm trying to find out if this is common behavior or not. I have someone in NC who has video of this behavior. I opened up back, got all dust out. The fan was coming on and off, temps still rising. The Express Thaw light stays lit to 3lbs. I reset the cood/warm buttons inside fridge. It says to hit warm until it says OFF. Then hit one of the cool buttons and it should reset. Didn't do a thing. Then I read online that you unplug, replug in, switch icemaker off then on, then push the ice lever 3 times. This is supposed to reset to factory settings. Now the fan will only come on if you open a door. Once shut, it turns off. Both freezer and fridge say 68 and nothing is coming on anymore.
