Here's the Limoncello recipe I used. I think it came out very nice. It's smooth, not bitter, and not too cloyingly sweet. I like the taste of the vodka. Try using a clean, highly distilled vodka. For those "adventerous" folks, you can substitute Everclear as Rhizo suggests, just don't try to drive or operate heavy machinery, lol!! Limoncello Recipe 10 Meyer lemons 1 (750-ml) bottle vodka (100 proof) 3 1/2 cups water 2 1/2 cups sugar Directions: Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the lemons in long strips (reserve the lemons for another use). Using a small sharp knife, trim or scrape away the white pith from the lemon peels; remove ALL THE PITH and discard (it's what can make the limoncello bitter). Place the lemon peels in a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the vodka over the peels and cover with plastic wrap. Steep the lemon peels in the vodka for 4 days at room temperature. Stir the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Cool completely. Pour the sugar syrup over the vodka mixture. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight. Strain the limoncello through a mesh strainer. Discard the peels. Transfer the limoncello to bottles. Seal the bottles and refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours and up to 1 month. Yield 7 cups. Patty S.

I didn't weight it and didn't bother to look closer at it, but they look large. I used to eat this when I was a child in the Philippines and the jackfruit tree was very commonly grown where I lived; some of the fruit does become too large and two people has to carry it. Getting the sweet, yellow flesh out of the fruit is a tedious work--and, which one thing I hated about the fruit, sticky! Call Frankie's Nusery if they have the strain of jackfruit you wanted, they may have connection of who has it, since they do specialize in tropical fruit trees.

The mats are maybe a half inch thick. I know nothing about jigsaw blades--I used the blade that came with an inexpensive saw.I have a few mats under young crabapple trees and they are working very well. I stil have mats that need to be placed for the first time on larger trees. And--I will eventually have to increase the size of the holes on all the trees.

Hi Mary Ann! As far as stocking stuffers, I pick up things all year long, sometimes at yard sales even. I use things like perfume samples that I get at department stores, the little viles. The small hand lotions for your purse, shopping lists pads, lip balm, their favorite candy. The guys are harder to buy . For dh, I got a cheap watch for work, ( he's in construction), A yearly calendar notebook, he likes to keep track of each day, his hours, etc. Pens, this year I got the lighted quasar pens at dollar general for $2. Body gel and scrubbies, deodorant, small colognes, gag gifts, (sometimes I get these at craft fairs). My son in law likes butter popcorn, I always put the micro paks in his stocking. The kids are really easy to buy for.... just lots of dollar store stuff. Granddaughter (10) loves pens, notepads, lip gloss, lotions, etc. This year, I got these neat lil radios with headphones for a dollar for the kids. Now if they only work, lol! My family loves their stockings more than the gifs. I was going to stop doing stockings and they cried, lol! I wrap each lil stuffer. For the adults you can also put in lottery tickets, everyone has fun scratching these off together. Have a great Christmas, and lets all get back here after the holidays, ok?
