All I can think of to say is "I thought all you fellers had died off ". I was faced with a similar problem more than 30 years ago and couldn't find a soul to pour lead. Had a few say they knew how but no longer had the tools (plumbers are known for that). Homeowner wanted to preserve the home true to it's period and was paying well for all the work being done to it. My job was was assisting owner in writing scopes of work and making certain they were followed. One of the contractors used scab labor on demo work that wound up damaging a lead sleeve between flange and cast iron. Realy straightfoward replacement of lead sleeve but noone would pour the joint. In my search for a plumber I asked at a supply house. The guy just laughed,went to the back and returned with a lead "repair"sleeve and two big ol soldering irons resembleing medieval war clubs. He gave me a few instructions and sent me on my way. I made my first and last lead repair plus a rock solid,long standing business relationship with the supply house owner. The story wouldn't be complete unless I confessed to my price couging. The contractor who damaged the thing said he would pay to have it repaired but refused to beat the brush for a plumber and pay him up front. I was on the homeowner's payroll during all the time I spent (this was long before cells and the vacant house had no phone) but I felt I was awol while away from the site. Right or wrong,I stuck the contractor with a bill I intended him to remember when he thought about cutting corners on labor or shirking responsibility of follow through. Anyhow,I hope you made a u-tube of the deed because many people may never see lead poured.

The battery pack is 3"x3-1/2"x1". It is too big for any of the openings we had, so the wire in the grape jar just runs down the back of the jar and the battery pack sits on the table. It uses 3 AA batteries and the remote can make it do all kinds of "twinkling" including one setting that makes it go through all of them. It's like having a discotheque on the plant shelf!! :) The tea jar would work great for this!! You can feed the lights through the hole and just keep the battery pack outside the jar. It's hard to see but we put a wine stopper in the top of the grape jar.

I can't really picture the finished look you're after so I can't help there. But 4x2 is awful tight, especially because you'd better be doing some sort of an insulating "liner" inside the firepit (fire brick is better than a steel liner, and you can find black firebrick) or else you risk cracking your concrete slab. Regular concrete and late night wood fires aren't best buds. Killer views, and I think the firepit helps lead the eye to them. But the expansive views make the 2 ft width feel all the more dinky and undersized. Go bigger. As long as I've been at this no one has ever said "dang Dave I wish we went smaller". Not for nothing but you could also really play up the view to the distant horizon by making the far edge slightly narrower than the one closest to the house, really force the perspective. At first that's what I thought you did, but I think it's an optical illusion caused by the patio shape.

I have an embarassing amount of glass vases that I keep in our downstairs "venture in if you dare" room. Most are from condolence, congratulations, just because flower arrangements and I could never bring myself to get rid of them. I grow a good amount of dahlias, hydrangeas, zinnias, etc in the summer, so will arrange some this summer in vases that I'll paint with this method. I saw that Kerry from Garden Answer, if you know who I mean, and her mother set up a table in their downtown, giving away vases of flowers from their gardens. I thought it was such a lovely thing to do. I think I'll just do porch drops... Ring and run.
