Pat..I just planted Clematis "Kingfisher" in my "Miguel Memorial Gardens" in Spring and let it bloom so I could see...I then pinched out the top above a leaf axil to allow it to focus on its roots now instead of growing vines..Was yours too little to plant in the ground?..If so dig a hole and drop the pot in where you'll get water from your Sprinkler or a place you will remember to water to keep it moist...I planted mine right in the garden..I drove 60 miles to my gf house in South Houston to see her gardens and her Clematis "Kingfisher" is older than mine and can't wait till mine grows up..Here is mine..Jeanne

Andy is correct, it is www.faulknerspalms.com. I don't advertise seed, but I can usually get FRESH seed of a dozen species of any given time. I also have seed from 15-20 sources coming and going, so if you catch me at the right time you might find what you are looking for.

Feather, (holding up right hand) I swear it was a Ringed! There was almost total rufous on the breast and front of the body. I found one bunch of pics that showed the area as bright red, which it wasn't. More of a robin sort of color. I was too excited to get the camera, and it was not close enough for my camera anyway, but the binocs did a good job. The only thing I can think of, is we had a bunch of storms recently that came through Texas , across Mississippi and into Georgia...I think he must have gotten caught in that. Very strong winds, lots of hail, etc. Tornadoes, etc. I can't remember about the white ring at the neck, but due to the large amount of rufous color, I think it was a male. Thank you for your response. I am very glad to see you back here. I don't post often, but I remember you and your wonderful stories and pictures very well. Wish you could have seen it with me! (The information on this bird says it is a rare occurence in the Rio Grande Valley, so I feel blessed to have seen it.)
