HI, I'm new to this forum.

I've been living in NC for 4 years.

Two years ago was the first time I saw a blue bird around my house!!

I've seen a few last year and a few more this year.

I have some squirrel proof feeders (another BIG problem I have)and begun feeding birds.

I've been an avid birder for a number of years, but now I live in the south and out in the country!

NUMEROUS different birds to learn, watch and listen to!

Here's my issue.

Lately I've had some aggressive little birds harass the other birds at the feeders, I'm having trouble identifying them.

It might be either a House Wren or a female Hosp.

But I don't see any male Hosp.

I also don't remember seeing any starlings.

One or two of these birds will fly in, cause a ruckus and chase off the other birds. They'll grab a few seeds and start fighting again. They seem to be more interested in harassment than feeding.

Do Wren have similar coloring/markings as northern Hosp?

I live a few miles outside the town limits, lots of woods, fields etc. From what I've read, not really Hosp type habitat.

From what I've just read, Wrens can be aggressive too!

But I'm not familiar with them.

Can someone post a link to a good identification web site?

Any advice/tips?

FYI I have no issue keeping the harmony in my neck of the woods!

The hawks love the meals I bring to their nesting areas!
