OMG the craziest thing just happened to me! I couldn't take a pic because I was the subject of the visitor... I was outside staking a delphinium, and a yellow dragonfly landed on my upper arm, and I looked closely and it was munching on a big fly. I fought back panic and it stayed there chewing away for about 2 minutes then flew off. It was really cool but super gross too, it left some fly debris on my arm. UUGH! Apparently now I am a picnic table...

That's so interesting, because in late fall here we had a similar flock of robins fly onto our crabapple tree, and they stayed and ate crabapples for some time. Also some others went over and ate the sumac fruit at the neighbors'. Then they all took off, I assumed they were on their way south, but then I read here that some robins never migrate. So I can't be very helpful about where your robins might be heading. The whole thing was very surprising to me when it happened here, too. (Actually the way they flew in kind of freaked me out, I had never seen a flock of robins, and they flew in so suddenly.) Also - there was a post earlier (in 2009) - someone witnessed a flock of over 100 robins coming over a hill - you might find it interesting (search "robins"?)

I think I saw a Vulture yesterday but it could have been our resident Eagle, didn't have my binocks. It was over a favorite Vulture hang out. Gotta make a positive ID before I put it in the books. I hope my Blues are not early I'm going out of town for a long weekend next week.....

For people with troubled skin, be aware that the rotating brush action will stimulate the skin to the point of "awakening" acne that is just beneath the skin. Be prepared with your acne meds and give the Mia routine a week or two. Skin will normalize and end result will be cleaner skin over time. Wondering if gunk that accumulates behind brushead is from applying cleanser onto brush. My cleanser goes from my hand to my face, then I brush face. No gunk problems on mine
