Matt, I have a few hundred chocolate plants if you'd like to come and dig them up ... ;-) You're right though. I've always loved it those big brown leaves with silver spots and the deep purple flowers, but just not as many as keep coming up this year. Just hoping they will be better behaved next season.

That's a beautiful purple, lat62. I haven't planted anything. In NC we had the long drought most of the summer and apart from hurricane Helene it is still dry. I am waiting for it to be cooler and wetter. Temps in the 70's most of this coming week. When I do start planting I have a Pugster Blue buddliea, some Burning Hearts heliopsis, a bunch of campanula persificola from seeds, some foxgloves that came up in pots on their own, some ice plant from cuttings, a lavender...I forget the name..maybe Spectacular. Grows big. And these clems: Mme Edward Andre, Stand By Me blue, Jackmanii Superba, Princess Kate, and about five others. Might leave some in pots. I bought Diana's Delight last spring and was happy with it...bloomed a long time. Princess Kate was one of the longest bloomers...seemed it bloomed for months and had good vigor. We're in the midst of the fall flush for roses, with some just now showing buds. I've collected some seeds from Zahara Double Salmon zinnias which I hope will come true, and I think I located seeds on angelonia and will try those, probably in Jan. or Feb. I have rose seeds in the fridge but have not collected as many as usual. Drought makes it seem a bit masochistic to take on too many plants but I am looking at seed catalogs. Am avoiding the water hogs. Had big hopes for snapdragons this year but they needed a lot of watering. Now they've survived the heat they are perking up and blooming. Could be they'll make it through the winter and do better next year. Gaillardia Mesa Apricot is one plant I expected to be drought tolerant but it wilted easily in dry weather. My soil is not water retentive in most spots. Gomphrena Las Vegas was wonderful and barely got any water all summer and is still beautiful. Alyssum New Carpet of Snow took its time putting on size but I have some nice plants of that right now. Have some roses to dig up and some to plant ..hope I can get some help. I made a huge pile of tree debris from hurricane Helene that is still by the side of the road. The yard crews are busy.

I had read from multiple users that there was a glitch or something a few days ago causing many posts not to show at all. Maybe your issue is resolved now too?
