Another Question

We had been anxiously awaiting the fledging of the 5 baby blues, and Saturday morning there was so much activity around the entrance. They would peek out further than on previous days. We were sure they were probably going to fledge. HOWEVER, we had to attend a ballet recital for a granddaughter, so left for 3 hours. When we got back they were gone! DRAT IT ALL! Murphy and his laws have struck again!

Here's the question. I haven't seen the babies since. The parents come back for meal worms, but don't bring the babies. This same thing happened to me last year. I watched them all fledge last year, but they never came back either. The parents did come back to raise another brood.

It amazes me that you all seem to be able to enjoy the babies after fledging, and I never get to see them. :o(
