Zebra grass and landscaping around pool?
Comments (3)Thanks for the input! Ohhh, I forgot about Pink Muhly...that's definitely going on the "plant want" list. I was at one of the big box stores a few days ago and asked when they might put the zebra grass on sale and the manager offered to sell me them for 1/2 price!!! Yippee! I got four of them. Now I just need it to cool off a bit so I can start planting. Haha, my patio is almost full of markdown plants I have been getting to start my new beds....See MoreLandscaping for privacy around inground pool.
Comments (6)If that's the case, look at the first and second picture again and ask "what value are they?" They make it look as if there is 6" to 12" between pool deck and fence!!! Leylands are for when someone needs massive height. (They have their downside.) Is great height what you need? Arbs would be a better choice for common height. Other things good for even less height....See MoreLandscaping around pool
Comments (6)Ok, here are a bunch of pics of the pool area along with aerials. This should give an excellent idea of what the site looks like. Obviously the hardscaping isn't complete, but landscape rocks, edging and fence will be installed soon. From there, we have a blank slate!...See MoreNeed Creative Ideas for Landscaping Around In-Ground Pool
Comments (0)Hello! I'm looking for ideas for backyard landscaping around an in-ground pool. The previous landscape was overgrown and I removed it all two years ago. I left some tall-growing "fountain grass" (that's what it looks like) to cover the fence and two small plum trees. I like the plum trees for color, but the grass is such a pain to cut and dispose of each year. Due to time constraints I limited it to mulch, the plum trees, and the grasses. The grasses add color and help hide the fence a bit, but they don't fully grow until mid-summer and fall over after a heavy rain. I plan on pressure washing and staining the rest of the fence the same color...the previous plants were in the way last summer. Same with the retaining wall...it looks brand new after washing, but I have to do it each year. The tiki bar and fence are cedar. I'm looking to keep the pool/tiki bar theme going so any fun ideas are welcome! The platform for the hot tub was a quick project and I thought about replacing the grass with patio stone and creating a step up to hide the ledger. I'm in Western Pennsylvania. Thank you in advance!...See Moredebndal
