Pileated Woodpeckers

I had to post new, as I can't figure out how to reply to someone else's post.

Someone was asking about these birds at feeders. I had a female today just outside my window, hang upside down from a branch which is about an inch and a half diameter, so she could peck at a suet block I have hanging from that branch via a small chain. She's too large to hang on the feeder cage itself, so she improvised. I actually have two Pileated females, and both were on that tree at the same time. Is that odd to have a pair of females? I haven't seen a male.
