Neato on the woodpeckers. I'd like to see them in person, but am conflicted about that. Don't want them tapping on my tree. Your pictures are marvelous. Elegant Candy sure came out well, as did the color on Major General.

Thanks, BN. The sunset reflected off the heron made me unsure of which kind it was. I see the Great blues here in NE Illinois quite often - look like missiles shooting through.

Thanks Gail and TMFF! Belted kingfishers apparently nest in the area of Cape Breton where I saw them in the first week of July,2011. After looking at more of my pics and comparing them with the images on the web, I believe that is what I took pics of.
