On the Today show sometime in the past two weeks(maybe less), they did some makeovers and one girl in particular was a knock out after the guy did her hair and makeover. You wouldn't know it was the same gal!! In the before her hair was long and kind of limpy, she wore glasses and just average looking but after...WOW!! He cut some off her hair and made it shoulder length, put highlights in it, did the makeup and when she came out, she looked so different and incredible! Hard to believe it was the same person. I don't know who the guy was but you could check their website to find out who does the makeovers for them and at least give you an idea who to go to in NY. I would like a visit from that guy myself!!! lol!

I think I should buy a used car report and look for the best car for your money. (most reliable!) That should be top on your list because I assume you won't have much cash to fix it up if there were something to go wrong and to buy a used car quickly can be bad sometimes. Please look into other cars than the pontiac grand am!!! I have one, bought it used. My previous car was stolen and I didn't have much time to research another car. I bought my grand am, from a dealership, and it has been terrible!!! (if you think 150 is bad, i would sink THOUSANDS into this car in a year!!!) I just had so many problems with the car. They are cheaper for a reason! When we look for a new to us used car we do alot of research first. First, we decide what type of car we need and then we research to find the safest and most reliable car for our money. I know you may feel that the way your car looks is important but I would rather have settled for a nice, not so stylish car that runs than one that is stylish that is a pos. If you still want that specific car I would visit an auction. I may consider buying from a private owner but I would quiz that person to death trying to figure out why they were selling. I think both are really risky, however auctions are usually cheaper.

I originally started this post 6 years ago. I am sorry this is still an issue for so many. I believe it has gotten even worse. Unfortunately, the design world does not make shoes for everyone. In my opinion, if a company decided to make stylish shoes in different widths and sizes that were midlevel priced, they would have a profitable business. I am sure it wouldn't be as profitable as others but there is money to be made. In six years I have bought several pairs of running sneakers, a pair of blue oxfords, and a lovely penny loafer from Trotters. Only the penny loafers are narrow. If I had access to stylish not frumpy choices I would have bought more. My 10-year-old black trouser flats with a rubber sole have split across the bottom of the ball of the foot. The leather still looks brand new. My amazing shoemaker said it was $60 to replace the soles and I should just buy new shoes. Well, I am replacing the soles as I can't find anything that fits and I like. Everyone has struggles and in the scheme of things, this is annoying but not life-threatening.

You said big watermelon. If it was basicly round, it would be a Black Diamond type ( This was the most popular market melon in the 40's and 50's. A lot of improved varieties were introduced during this period, but they all were big round black / green melons.. Most popular were Black Diamond , Superior Black Diamond, Verona, Cannon Ball, Blackstone, Summit etc. Elongated dark green/black melons were pretty much out of the commercial market by the 40's. Tom Watson, Kleckley's Sweet, and Halbert Honey were still grown for roadside markets. All of these ran 30 -40 lbs as market melons. Black Diamond types were replaced in commercial use by Congo a long dark striped melon, and in turn replaced by the long grey Charleston Grey., then by Crimson sweet (round striped, last of the popular seeded Op's) Almost all seedless varieties in the trade today.
