Harbor Freight offers different sized greenhouses, very reasonably priced... we went with the larger one, but the smaller ones would be great for a bulb collection. Ours is the 10x12 foot model, and on sale it only cost us $599. The smaller ones are cheaper. They're made of polycarbonate panels, I think, and are very durable. If fastened to a cinder block foundation, they're very sturdy, and I think they'd withstand some really nasty winds. If you plan on building something permanent, it might pay to put up a "real" greenhouse type structure. It would be worth looking into, anyway... you're going to have to spend a bit in materials regardless, so it might be more cost-effective to put up a working greenhouse. They also have a frame kit, which you could erect, and then cover with whatever the season called for... shade cloth or panels, or even plastic rolls... Whoa! I never meant that you should take your photos off the New England Gardening Forum and post them on a blog somewhere! I just was trying to say that a thread that has 20 photos, each of which takes about 1 minute to load, and they load one at a time, gets prohibitively long for someone with dialup. Just to post my comment meant that I had to wait over a half hour before I could get to the end. I was only asking that you start a new thread for your photos, which I enjoy seeing. A new thread means a much shorter load time. Claire

I bought 2 very large crystal Ralph Lauren glass hurricane lamps yesterday (they can hold either taper or wide candle.) However, I've seen lots of photos in magazines where people have used hurricane lamps to hold fruit, flowers etc. Does anyone have any photos their care to share or any ideas? Thanks! Spy
