newbie here, sort of

Hi to all

I am new here, but not new to bluebirding. Ten years ago when I lived elsewhere I proudly fledged about 10 broods.

Then we moved, to the Texas coastal prairie. I live on 45 acres, 3 miles from the coast. I am about 80 miles north of Corpus Christi, so I am still in the range, but barely.

I am blessed with an abundance of birds and other wildlife, some permanently, others occasionaly because I am on the migration route.

I should be happy, and I am, but I have always missed my bluebirds. No other bird is so sweet.

So, I put up a nest box, and we will see. I have never seen a bluebird here, and as far as I know, no one else has either. Of course, when you say bluebird, everyone else thinks blue jay.

If I am so lucky to get a house hunter I will be the most indulgent land lord ever.

Wish me luck.
