MG soluble fertilizer

It's my first time to grow cherry tomato in a container. I've been feeding MG soluble fertilizer about every two weeks. I found out that the tinny granulate fertilizer is still seating in the container, it won't disolve. It's been accumulated a lot of granulate fertilizer in the container. Is it normal? Should I change it to water disolve type of fertilzer for my plant? Besides, I've never needed any calcium for my tomato. Now my plants are setting fruits. Is it too late to add lime? Should I just leave it alone not to add any crushed egg shells or lime?

Thanks in advance
