Pacific Chorus Frog!!! There are hundreds breeding in my ponds. Love them. We got used to the singing after the first season. Had a fish pond for years but no froggies. Built multiple small ponds for plants not fish and froggies showed up right away. They change colors slowly and can be seen in all shades between green and brown. They always have that black stripe through the eye. They will breed and stop singing and disperse into the landscape to return next spring. When the tadpoles morph they are sooooo tiny and cute. We see a few frogs throughout the year but most come only to breed. The babies are smaller than a dime. You'll get more every year as the babies come back to spawn.

We have gray and green treefrogs. I have gray one that is resident on my front porch. During the day he hides under the lip of the siding and at night comes out to eat moths by the porch light. Others are by my pond in the trees, lawn and fence. I've never seen them in my ponds but that doesn't mean they don't go in there. They do make a big sound for such little guys.

can you post a picture ? bananas are a favorite for spider mites. My guess is you have a bad invasion of spider mites. The white cottony stuff is their web. I am not endorsing a product but I use Shultz Garden Spray (Houseplant and Garden Vartiety) to control bugs if my plants have a bug problem. You can buy it at the big box stores or Walmart. To prevent infestations, when you are at the store of your choice, buy a clear clean plastic spray bottle and fill it with water and spray/mist your indoor bananas (for that matter all your indoor humidity loving plants) daily or every couple of days. I write "water only" in magic marker on my spray bottle so no one puts anything else in it. It is also a good idea to run a fan in the room with your plants for air circulation and this too will help with bug infestations. Run the fan for a couple of hours every night when you get home from work. It does not have to run all the time but 4-8 hours a day would be ideal. Go get those bugs!
