German Red Strawberry Plant

Is it normal for German Red Strawberry plants to be somewhat leggy and limp compared to the others in the garden (I have Stupice, Sungold, Cherokee Purple, Kellogg's Breakfast, Black Cherry, a lot of the "standards")?

This is the second year that I have tried growing GRS and the plant seems stunted, and somewhat sickly both years in a row. The branches are thin and definitely not as sturdy or thick compared to other plants. It did have a lot of aphids on it as a baby, but it appears that the insecticidal soap has fixed if not significantly improved that problem so I don't see that as the reason - espscially since I see more aphids on other plants now. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! I am trying to decide whether or not to pull the plant...

Thanks - Becky
