Can you give a wider view with foliage? What type of plant is it? Shrub, perennial?

It seems to be self sterile. It may be entirely sterile from what I've read. I now have two clones and neither has set seed. (though it may just lack a pollinator in N. America) Since cuttings root readily seed isn't necessary or desirable as the original species seems to always have stinging hairs.
