Photobucket. My knowledge is very elementary. It works best, for me, if I have photobucket open and the site I want to post open also. Then I can switch back and forth. log in, you will see an area that has three windows that say browse. click one and it should take you to your "my pictures" select a pic. and click open. This will show up in the browse window, with the title above it. A green check mark will be on the left. Click the Blue upload "button" Once it loads, scroll down to see your pic. under the photo will be 4 windows(?). click on the 3rd window (HTML code). It will turn blue, then right click and hit copy in the box that pops up. Switch back to Cottage G. If you have a post started, right click and click paste. If you have not strted a post, go ahead and type all that info and then right click to past. For me it works best if I hit "enter" twice after each pic. pasting. That way they don't run over each other. A bunch of symbols and letters should paste. When you click preview message, your pic should be appear in the preview.

My husband's parents have a cottage "up north." I got tired of all the old food in the refrigerator and pantry. It was years out of date, but how could I make "the others" deal with it? I got little circle stickers in bright colors. I stuck one on every food item, right on the lid if possible. I wrote the expiration date, or at least purchase date if known. My MIL said it was very clever of me to do that, yet she has never used any of the stickers herself. I make it my job whenever I visit. And the three-years-out-of-date peanut butter disappears after a while. Making everyone who uses the place aware of how old the food is getting means that they have to see how much they are throwing away. I don't know if they have learned anything, or developed any new habits. I just don't want to be the one who has to haul away all the trash. I don't put stickers on my pantry items at home. I figure, I use up food fast enough that it isn't a problem. But maybe I should try it on myself, at home. The other day, my husband didn't want to let me throw away some skin lotion that is a year out of date and starting to separate. It smells different than it used to. I'll pitch it when he's not looking. I found some other travel size tubes of skin lotion that smelled really awful. I had no trouble pitching them! I recently pared down my toiletries. It's my FLY-Lady-style project for January. Give it away if I'm not going to use it. I had three styling aids that were hardly used. My sister was happy to take them, along with some extra hair brushes. (How many do I need?) So now I am down to two shampoos and one tube of hair gel and one small tube of silicone conditioner. That's all I need to take care of my hair, along with one brush, one comb, and some hair clips & rubber bands. It feels nice to pare down. :-)

I have never crackled a big project, just some craft items. I used titebond liquid hide glue in a brown bottle with red top and it did not have to be thined or anything. The thicker you put it on, the bigger the crackle. Most important step of all is to put top coat of paint on fairly thick, pulling the brush over the glue only one time! If you brush back over it--it will not crackle well. (Good news is that after it all dries, if you missed a spot , you can usually "patch" it by repeating the steps in that area. I suggest you practice several times before you attempt to do you cabinets. Try a wooden picture frame or a wood plaque for example. This will help you learn the best way to brush it on, and whether you prefer large or small "crackle". Good luck on you project, hope it turns out just the way you want it.

I'd love to be able to peruse the pictures that were in the gallery threads: Living rooms, paint colors etc. Where are they now that we've joined Houzz? Thanks for any helpful suggestions you can offer!
