My Tomato Staking

I used 3/8" rebar as Tomato Stakes. Got 20 foot long lengths from Home Depot, cut into 3 equal pieces, got about 7' roughly. Pushes them down into ground about 12-18 inches at evey plant, in front and rear rows alternating them. Then I wieved jute twine from stake to stake horizontaly from to back and then front, back, and diagonally. I dont like to tie anything to the tomato stock. now the setup has created triangular pockets for tomato plant to grow into and have lateral support.

From Tomatoes

These are few determinate plants but most my plantings are indeterminate heirlooms. this setup gave me average 6' tall support, much better than 4' that I had last time.

Got Tomatoes!
