Husky Red Cherry flavor

Rusty

Is Husky Red Cherry supposed to be a very tart tomato?

I guess I thought almost all of the cherry types

Would be quite sweet.

Maybe I'm too naive?

I have just one Husky Red Cherry,

It is growing in a large black plastic pot,

Not sure of gallon size, it is about 17" in diameter,

And approx. 20" tall.

It has about 2" to 3" Styrofoam peanuts in the bottom,

Both to help drainage,

And lessen the amount of soil used.

I used Miracle Grow soil,

Put some crushed egg shells just below the planting hole,

And have fed just as the fruit stated to form,

With Miracle Grow Shake & Feed with Calcium

for tomatoes and vegetables.

The plant itself is really a beautiful plant,

And very prolific,

But the fruits are pretty small,

Even for Cherry tomatoes.

And they are almost too sour to eat!

I let them get totally red on the plant before I pick them.

Would appreciate your thoughts and ideas,

Also any suggestions for a better cherry tomato

For our fall growing season.
