Getting in touch with me and your post on the GW...

Well,...I sure was expecting to hear from you sooner...I had sent the seeds out about a month ago,and started some of my own about the same time you would have received yours...I had contacted you originally through sending you a GardenWeb mail from this site...that would have been the first e-mail I sent to you,then we corresponded a couple times from my private e-mail...and the return address on the packet I sent you...I thought that would give you a clue as to what state I was in if you had forgotten...

The Member services page...the same one you need to go to log out

and if you set it to US and NJ and Ron...you'll see Ron_Convolvulaceae appear as the second last on the list of a total of 13 people in NJ whose names start with the word Ron

Out of the 55 genera in the Family Convolvulaceae,I am the only one who has more than the most common genera listed

Using the Google Advanced search engine set for English and anywhere in the page

with all of the words morning glories

with the exact phrase Ronald Kushner

or you could just google my webhandle Ron_Convolvulaceae and it will bring up results as no one else in the entire world usues the same webhandle

This brings up results which include my homepage at DavesGarden and contained in my description is one of my e-mails

Should you ever lose my e-mail address again,it is actually very(!) easy to get in touch with me as so many people from many different countries around the entire world have found out...that I have taken 'several' extra measures to make certain that it is easy for people to get in touch with me...

P.S. - Arum most certainly has the name of the MG family in her references and as such,could post Convolvulaceae spelled correctly if she really wanted to...

Ron C., yes - I could spell it right if I wanted to. :) I have missed your post on the GW, you have some very good information, which I'm sure we can all benefit from.

I do have a question if you don't mind. I got some seeds from a GW member marked "Platycondon" vine, and she said that's how it was marked when she got it. It appears that it is the Dwarf white, pink, and blue single picotee MG. Why don't they just label it that way? I was so confused, especially when the vines started growing and I saw the dwarf picotee leaves. No, I don't know very much about MG"s, but they are so beautiful and interesting.

Very interesting...I had sent the above message as a GW e-mail to Maureen,not as the start of a new thread...you are right Arum...I don't post to the forums here anymore,I do alot(!) better not posting to the forums at this site,and greatly prefer to use a more private form of communication...with the rarest exceptions...and I don't plan on resuming posting to the forums...unless more of my GW e-mails continue to be 'transmuted' into new threads,then I will refrain from using the e-mails from here...I will answer your question by private e-mail...apparently a 'glitch' or a s w 'itch'(!) in the GW system really wanted to see this as a new thread instead of the e-mail that I sent...

When I was a kid[many years ago]I used to make mudpies. Loved to play in the dirt,climb rocks,ride wild horses.Was sort of a tomboy,no girls in my neighborhood. In jr. highschool they used to call me witch.Don't know why. Now it seems I'm doing a second childhood, playing in the mud.I like these results much better.My favorite project is, like sarasaid,the one I'm currently working. This one is a water feature.It is a sphere[two bowls,mortared together.with a cut out].Mounted on a pedestal cast from the same bowl mold.The pedestal has 4 semicircles cut out so it has legs, these legs have been fortilied to provide the strength to support the sphere. It will be painted black inside,hold water,with glass 'rocks' at the bottom and a floating candle in it. I have great hopes for it. Don't know if I should paint the outside or not. I'm still trying to learn my son's camera so I can't post pictures, maybe one day I can.
