Hi Kelly, There are at least 5 different types of Blizzard genes and they don't always show up right away,or in every generation...so(!) what you have there looks like the most common blue that comes out of the Early Call mix,but it may show the Blizzard effect as the plant matures...let's see what happens with this one... OOPs, that should say 2010 blooms not 2009. they never bloomed in 2009, 2 months of rain and cold, prevented most of my MG from blooming last year. Ron, I remember you telling me about the blooms when I first posted about them. I don't remember if you said that Emma had the seeds or if it looked like the one being sold on ebay only. I will have to contact Emma and see if she still has some of the seeds, and if she does has she grown them again and what have they bloomed. OH, I heard from my friend on another end of my town and only one of her plants survived the chipmunk attacks this summer. Her "mutant" bloomed Wednesday and darned if we won't be surprised, it was different also, IT WAS A PURE WHITE. I like the same one that you do as well, but I do like all of them so far. I have each one growing separately and have them tagged with the color they bloomed. Will save seeds, if I get any to grow out next year. this is really becoming a yearly experiment to see what blooms and never know what to expect but the obvious. it will never bloom the same 2 years in a row, at least so far. Still have vine #4 to bloom, wonder what that one will do. Thanks for the comments everyone. Fran

The 1st set of blooms look like Heian Akathuki(sic) by Takii.. The bloom on the right in the 2nd set is a Chocolate and the bloom in the 3rd photo is the Blue Tie Dye offered by Park aka Hama Ginga by Sakata... The leaves are too similar to try and differentiate them as to type when they are all tangled up together... You can tie colored yarn onto the flower pedicels to identify the resultant seedpods as to color... All Ipoomoea nil can potentially cross fertilize but some of the seeds will probably remain true to color and any crosses should be a pleasant surprise...(!) TTY,... Ron
