Comments (3)Oooo, love it, Anne!! My morning glory (blue dawn flower) looks just like that now, except I have mine in a HUGE pot (gophers, doncha know!) with a trellis stuck in it. The pot is against a fence, and the tendrils are crawling all along the fence, other plants, us if we get too close or stand for too long. LOL I've had it for one year, and it's one of my favorites!! I love seeing that fading flower with the fish bones! They make a great couple. :D Brenda...See MoreMorning glories--getting the best start
Comments (2)My MG's self seed to a fault. I pull as many as I can and still have a full crop of them. Yes these are MG's and not bindweed. I've also had cardinal climber self seed fairly well (not nearly as prolific as the MG's though). I have several different colors; pinks, blues, striped, etc. Sometimes they even have variagated leaves, which is nice. Mine are already sprouting, and I'm already pulling them... This has been going on for nearly 7 years, ever since I bought the house, so I don't think I'll ever be rid of them. The Moonflowers were not reliable self-sowers for me, but a lot of that was because of where I had planted them - near my driveway in a planter, so most of their seeds fell out on the concrete. From what I've seen in my yard, you could throw MG seeds out on the snow and you'd get plants come springtime......See Moreron_convolvulaceae
