Fellow Colt's fan....lol, See the team and Peyton won ESPY's? That was nice. Tony D said he had better teams before but none that played as well as a TEAM ever. Warm's my heart...:) I love KB. I get my seed from TGS. It has bred true for years. BUT!!! I battle the CRUD every year with KB. One year I lost all three starts. This past year I lost one out of three. The CRUD gets my plants off to slower starts than my other varieties so it's ALWAYS the last to ripen for me. But it is worth all the aggravation. A truly delicious tomato. I prefer it to be my first tomato eaten in the day so it's aptly named IMO. Production is great once it finally gets cranking and plants get huge. That all being said, I have lerarned recently of a PL version called KBX that doesn't get CRUD. I plan on begging for seed for next year. Plus Lee who posts here says Orange Heirloom is a good choice for those who like KB types. I plan on mooching him too. LOL

Sorry for the million questions but I'm looking for some tomatoes that do well in our area that I can count on every year as a staple in my garden. Jet Stars are super aren't they, bouquet_kansas ? Always do great for me and the flavor is very good I agree. Never tried Big Zac but if you say they are producing a good crop it deserves a try. My main purpose to to have a crop that I can put up and use all winter for sauces but if a tomato doesn't produce in this crazy weather it's not much good. finbar, KB is delicious! It's a real winner. Definitely coming back next year. Might just have to put another bag or two on some of its flower buds for (more) seed saving. :) The texture is great, the colour is a very attractive rich, dark yellow, the taste is really nice. Must go and have another slice to be able to better describe it. Thanks, finbar, for getting me hooked on KB. (The seeds were from you.) Sorry, Craig, for straying off-topic.
