Is it ok, To put coffee grounds around 3 week old tomato seedling

I have about 12 tomato plants. Have planted them up with a mix of seed starting soil, and miracle gro potting soil. Well, they all were looking great. Lush green, nice stems. I keep them under lights 16 hours a day. Water, only when soil is dry. Temps are cool. So, I noticed purple under the leaves. But, no worries with that. So, I decided. On a whim yesterday. That I needed to add some more soil to the cups. But, I just put the coffee grounds up to their first leaves instead. Today, when I looked at my tomatoes. One of them is looking a slight pale green. What my question is. Will the coffee hurt my tomato plants? Thank you so very much in advance.
